Speaking My Goal Into Existence
Having an elevator speech has been extremely helpful as I network and navigate my way through DC. Although at first it was intimidating I have found my confidence through it and it has allowed me to see the value in my studies/experiences and gave me a clear vision of who I want to become.

First Step To D.C.
I am ready to be everything I’ve ever dreamed of being. These are the types of people I want to be surrounded by; I already love the environment I’m in. This is something I never thought I’d experience and I’m so thankful that I’m living this moment.

I Can’t Believe I’m Here
As my first week in D.C. comes to an end, I reflect on the work that it took to get here and the lifelong partnerships that will form after this summer. This city truly has so much to offer, and I hope to at least dent most of it by the time this internship ends.

Busy first week in DC with festivals, adjusting to the city, preparations for the NMSHSA Public Policy Forum, and public transportation learning!

Remote Work
The first week of work and an insight into what I have been working on. I learned about the Hershey Lawsuit being dismissed and did a brief search on cocoa bean harvesting.
